Easy Christmas Gift Idea for Friends

Here's a super easy Christmas gift idea for friends! Christmas sugar cookies! Most people like cookies (especially Christmas cookies) and the recipe that I used is delicious! I wasn't sure what to do when it came to little gifts for my friends so I decided that cookies would be something simple that they'd all like. You can even wrap them up in little boxes (I made little paper boxes with Christmas scrapbook paper) and tie them up with a bow! It would be wise to wrap the cookies in plastic wrap before putting them in a box so that they don't go all crumbly. I put three cookies in each little box and I gave a Christmas card with each box of cookies.

The recipe that I used for the cookies is a soft sugar cookie recipe from Food.com. I sprinkled some extra sugar and some red and green sprinkles on top of the cookies before I put them in the oven. The extra sugar gave them a nice shiny look (and made them taste even sweeter!). They are amazing! This is now my go-to soft sugar cookie recipe for the holidays!

You should definitely try this!

Salted Peanut Butter Brownies

These salted peanut butter brownies are so easy to make! You just need to bake brownies using your favourite brownie recipe. I used a brownie recipe from allrecipes.com and did not include the walnuts. This brownie recipe that I used is neat because it uses vegetable oil rather than butter so it's good to use if you're running low on butter. Once the brownies have cooled, spread peanut butter over them and sprinkle sea salt on top.

When I made these brownies, my family and I wanted to eat them right away so we spread the peanut butter on them while they were still warm and the peanut butter melted into gooey yumminess! I didn't chop up all of the brownies right away, though, so the next day they were harder to lift from the pan so I would recommend cutting them all when they are cool but still soft.

Chocolate paired with salt and peanut butter creates an amazing blend of flavours! Enjoy!

Recipe: Salmon Balls

I like fish. They're yummy! You can do so much with fish like have them with chips, make a sandwich out of them, and you can even make them into meatballs! It's true! Fish balls! I know, it sounds strange, but what am I supposed to call them? Fish "meat"balls? I'll stick with fish balls. These ones are salmon balls and are so easy to make!

Salmon Balls

Yield: Approx. 12 balls (it depends on how big you make the balls)

Ingredients:
  • 2 cans of salmon
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon Juice
  • Paprika
These are the ingredients that I used but you can also add garlic or garlic powder, onions, or other ingredients that you like with fish for the taste that you prefer. Go on and experiment! That's what I do because you never know what will work or taste good until you try it for yourself!

Directions:
  1. Mix the salmon and the egg.
  2. Mix all other ingredients in with the salmon mixture (I just eyeball the ingredients and put in the amounts that I prefer).
  3. Roll the salmon mixture into balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Cook the balls in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Be aware that these salmon balls are kind of crumbly. I didn't mind because I liked cutting them up and spreading them around in my spaghetti.

Voilà! Bon appétit!
These salmon balls taste great with spaghetti and spaghetti sauce or maybe they'd even taste great in a meatball sandwich! It would be a fish ball sandwich! I'll have to try that next time I make them!
